Who is John Baldessari?
John Baldessari is a an American concept photographer and artist based in Santa Monica and Venice, California. He was born on the 17th of June 1931 and is known for his found photograhy and appropriate images. He was first a painter and then moved things such as abstract shapes, writing, and photography into his canvas in the 1960s. One of the most famous things he did was start to put circles or spots onto peoples faces in his work and this gave his art a sense of mystery. In some of my photographs I have tried to incorperate light such as the sun and different objects such as coloured cones to give my work a sense of mystery as well. |
